The JAAF Mandate

The JAAF Mandate, which has plans to develop the industry base, is of direct relevance to FAAMA

  • Development of required backward integration industries to support the apparel industry
  • Invest in Fabric Mills to support the industry
  • Provide attractive incentives for fabric mills to relocate in to Sri Lanka
  • Establish a conduit to provide a direct link for apparel manufacturers to use fabrics of regional origin
  • Develop textile & apparel zones equipped with effluent treatment & other infrastructure
